Bhaj Govindam Verse 15

आदि गुरु शंकराचार्य

Verse 15

जटिलो मुंडी लुंजित केशः
काषायान्बर बहुकृत वेषः ।
पश्यन्नपि च न पश्यति मूढः
   उदर निमित्तं बहुकृत वेषः ॥ १५ ॥

jatilo mundii lujnchhitakeshah
kaashhaayaambarabahukritaveshhah

 
pashyannapi cana pashyati muudhah
udaranimittam bahukritaveshhah

There are many who go with matted locks, many who have clean shaven heads, many whose hairs have been plucked out; some are clothed in saffron, yet others in various colors --- 
all just for a livelihood. Seeing truth revealed before them, still the foolish ones see it not.
